While out there running/jogging in that Heat and Humidity this morning, it got me thinking back to the high school football movie, Facing the Giants…
Remember when little David kicked that game-winning field goal, with the strong wind at his back, as the game clock expired?
Remember when Brock did the “Death Crawl”, not only to the 50-yard line, but all the way to the end zone, and that was with Jeremy on his back…
This morning it felt like I had a 500-pound gorilla on my back, as I put in my 4 1/2 miles, and with the last part of the run, being a tough uphill challenge, it got me thinking about Brock facing that stone wall in Facing the Giants, and how he did that “Death Crawl” all the way to the finish…
It got me to finish strong this morning, as I dealt with that 500-pound gorilla called sweat, covering me up like a big blanket, but that was really my thinnest shirt possible covered in sweat, and it still felt like it weighed a ton…
That good thing about finishing up going up a hill, is that there is usually a downhill part left for you to go down, and that makes the ending ever-so sweet, and not ever-so sweat…
In the high school football movie, Facing the Giants, Brock has to put up a “Stone Wall” at the end of the game on defense, but before he can reach that moment, he must encounter “The Death Crawl”, and being able to handle “The Death Crawl”, that is what allows him to be able to create that “Stone Wall” on defense, at the crucial stages, late in the game…
Let’s join the team(the Eagles) on the field right now, and watch Brock, as he does “The Death Crawl”, from goal line, to goal line…The challenge is there for all us, we can go half-of-the-way, or we can finish our mission, and end up in the End Zone….The challenge is there before you today, which way will you go???
Here is Brock, on his way, with “The Death Crawl”….CLICK ON BELOW…(You need to check this out, it might get you moving too.)
