Let’s keep hearing from our coaches as we make our rounds, and sometimes we have to round off our headlines/titles, or we might have to run some extra sprints at the end of practice…We have had been using that standard line of the high school football practices were now going full gear, which is supposed to mean that they are going FULL Speed ahead…But, the other interpretation might come across, as the teams are now practicing wearing their FULL Gear, which is not the case…
Most of our teams just added shoulder pads to their gear allotment today, and the shoulder pads joined the helmets, T-shirts, shoes, and shorts, that the practicing players have been wearing since Monday of this week…Pretty sure, the real FULL Gear load, when you add in the padded football pants/britches, hits on Friday of this week, and that is when you can begin/start the full contact hitting…
The practice details and restrictions are very much mandated, and our teams must follow this step-by-step practice plan of progression…Monday-Tuesday just T-Shirts and Shorts, Add-in the Shoulder Pads on Wednesday and go that route, on Wednesday and Thursday, with FULL Gear Pads and Full Contact Hitting, beginning on Friday….
We spoke with the head football coach of the Dudley Panthers this afternoon, and we covered some concrete territory…We got into a look at the new season, talked about some of the players that Dudley lost, and how the Dudley Panthers plan to fill those voids, we got into several players from the past, and they are still an important part of today’s Dudley Panther Football Program, and we touched on Coach Steven Davis’ background as the head coach for the Dudley Panthers football program, and his past work, as an assistant coach for the Page Pirates, as he was coming out of N.C. A&T State University…
The Dudley Panther Football Team is like a family, and Coach Steven Davis is their leader/father-figure…We look to next week, when Dudley will face the Mount Tabor Spartans in a football scrimmage on Wednesday, and the Dudley Panthers will travel to Charlotte to meet Chambers, next Friday for the final football scrimmage of the 2022 preseason…
Dudley looking to get the job done this season, and they have those two big scrimmage matchups next week, before opening their regular season at Page High School, on Friday August 19…
