Caldwell Academy student/athlete, Kayla Walsh, ( co 23 ) competed in the USA Diving Zone A Championship in Huntersville., NC in June of this year & qualified for the United States Junior National Championship in the platform ( placed 3rd) & 1 meter springboard ( placed 8th ) for the 2nd year in a row. Nationals were held in Midland, Texas the past several weeks.
She competed in the 1 meter & Platform events during the JO competition, and the 1 and 3 meter events in the Women’s Open. She was a 2X quarter finalist out of 60+ competitors and a 2x Semi finalist out of 30+ competitors at this level of competition.
Kayla had an amazing experience competing with some of the best divers in the country and looks forward to next season.
