It was an electric atmosphere and a packed house at Saint Pius X on Wednesday evening. Saint Pius Varsity Girls stay unbeaten with a win over The Point from Jamestown. Mabry Szafran led the way with a double-double 15 pts and 10 rebounds going 7 for 8 from the free throw line. Other contributors were Claire Deskevich and Ansley Bode with 7 points each and Lola Vanore with 6. Mason Grainger and Lola Vanore each had four steals in the win.
The boys game was a thriller as it came down to the wire with back and forth play and The Point outlasting Saint Pius 44-38. Ike Grainger lead the way with 18 points and Grant Duggins chipped in 7 points and 9 blocks.
Saint Pius is back in action on Saturday at IHM.
