UNCG Women’s Basketball Welcomes Wofford to Fleming Gym
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women’s basketball (8-9, 0-2 SoCon) finishes a two-game homestand hosting Southern Conference foe Wofford (11-5, 1-1 SoCon) on Saturday with a start time of 4 p.m. in Fleming Gym.

LAST TIME OUT
The Spartans beat the Paladins 60-49 in Fleming Gym on Thursday.
UNCG outscored Furman in three out of four quarters.
UNCG had 18 points off the bench compared to Furman’s five.
Akira Wiggins led the game with 18 points and five assists.
Faith Price was the only other Spartan with double figures. She had 16 points, as well as, two blocks for a team high.
Wiggins, Khalis Cain, Isys Grady, and Nitzan Amar all had two steals for the Spartans.
Cain had a game-high 10 rebounds.
The Spartans had 20 points off turnovers to the Paladins’ nine.
SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
UNCG is first in the conference in turnovers forced per game (18.41), and blocks per game (3.2).
Among the nation, UNCG is 28th in offensive rebounds per game (15.1).
The Spartans are second in the conference in assist/turnover ratio (0.85), assists per game (13.4), scoring offense (68.4), steals per game (8.4), three pointers per game (6.3), three point attempts per game (22.1), and turnover margin (2.65).
Akira Wiggins is first in the conference in assists (74) and assists per game (4.4).
Khalis Cain leads the conference in blocks (25), blocks per game (1.47), rebounds (161), offensive rebounds per game (4.8) and rebounds per game (9.5).
Cain is fourth nationally in offensive rebounds per game (4.8), and 19th in rebounds (161).
Faith Price is first in the conference in three-point attempts (140), three pointers per game (2.94) and three pointers (50).
Price is ranked fourth nationally in three-point attempts (140), eighth in three pointers (50), and 14th in three pointers per game (2.94).
Wofford leads the conference in assist/turnover ratio (1.10), scoring offense (71.4), steals per game (8.8), three-point attempts per game (26.7), three pointer per game (8.5), turnover margin (5.94) and turnovers per game (11.7).
The Terriers are second in the conference in scoring margin (6.2), turnovers forced per game (17.62) and winning percentage (68.8).
Rachael Rose is second in the conference assist/turnover ratio (2.46), field goal percentage (51.1).
Rose is ranked third in the conference in assists (64) and assists per game (4.0).

Annabelle Schultz is ranked second in steals (33) and steals per game (2.20).

The Spartans hit the road for three-straight games.
The first will be a Thursday night game against Western Carolina at 7 pm in Cullowhee, N.C.
They then will play Chattanooga on January 26 and ETSU on January 28.
SERIES HISTORY/LAST MATCHUP
The Spartans lead the series, 38 -19.
Wofford won both games last year with scores of 63-45 and 55-47.
The Terriers have won the last four games against the Spartans.
