Kimora Haith hit two free throws and then she nailed a three-pointer to tie the game at 29-29 for Dudley, and this sent the game into Overtime….Haith’s 5-0 run for Dudley, came with 1:38 left in regulation…Like we mentioned, Dudley was down 9-0 early in the contest, and didn’t take their first lead of the game, 12-11 Dudley, with 5:12 to play in the Second Quarter…This was a true battle going on at Dudley High School…Solid lead for SG, but Dudley came fighting back in the game…The Griffith sisters combined for 21 points for Southern Guilford…Southern Guilford girls coach Scott Tyson said Tuesday on Twitter, that this game would be the top game in town tonight, and he was right…Makayla Carney and Jewell Pass also playing big for Dudley…Monk got big inside for SG…Kimora Haith from Dudley, and Aliyan Griffith from Southern Guilford, are two of the best guards in our area….

Southern Guilford boys are still in First Place in the Mid-State 3-A Conference with just one conference loss at (12-1), after the Storm topped Dudley for the second time this season, with tonight’s 48-45 Storm victory at Dudley High School…Henry Boggan, from the old WBIG and WBT radio stations used to say when the Charlotte Hornets first got going, that we were seeing “The Best Basketball in the World”, well if Henry was still around, and if he was over at Dudley HS on Tuesday night, he would have been saying that we have some of the best basketball around, right here in Greensboro…
SG Storm boys topped Dudley 48-45, and Southern earned their second conference win of the season over the Dudley Panthers…Dudley was without the services of Antwann Sutton, and we wished he could have played, but the young men out there on the court on Tuesday night, they were playing for keeps…This was a very tight/close game throughout the first half….SG over Dudley, 10-7, at the end of the First Quarter…SG on top by just one point, SG 23, Dudley 22 at Halftime…SG just keeps coming at you…Very quick, and SG was not intimidated…The Storm were not backing down…By the end of the Third Quarter, our score was SG 38, Dudley 27…But, Dudley was not about to go away, as you can tell by that Final Score of SG 48, Dudley 45…Hard-nosed defense, blocked shots, shutdown passing lanes, you name it, and that was all on the menu for Tuesday evening at Dudley High School…Dudley used three’s from Anthony Taylor and Denzel Foster to get back in the game late, but Southern got some key free throws from Nicholas Blackston and others, to pull the game on through, as it came down the final stretch run…Very solid game for SG at point guard, from Daeshaun Ross…SG boys basketball is one of the most improved boy’s basketball teams/programs in the state, under Coach Wil Perry…
