Chad Henne retired from the NFL soon after winning his second Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night. Now, the 2008 draft pick is dishing dirt on former teammate Patrick Mahomes.

In an interview with ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Henne revealed some superstitions that the Super Bowl LVII MVP has, including a particularly gross one.

It’s not uncommon for professional athletes to have some bizarre superstitions, but Mahomes’ apparent underwear habits are shocking. The revelation is also ironic, considering one of Mahomes’ many State Farm Insurance commercials centers around his practice jersey that has never been washed, due to a superstition.

Whatever superstitions the 27-year-old has seem to be working. With his recent trifecta of winning the 2022 regular season MVP award, the Lombardi trophy and the Super Bowl LVII MVP, some are now claiming that Mahomes is the new “GOAT.”

Mahomes’ resumé continues to fill up fast after another monster season. In just six years in the NFL (five as a starter), he’s now made five Pro Bowl appearances, been named First Team All-Pro twice, is a two-time regular season MVP and two-time Super Bowl MVP as well.

While many still argue that the Texas Tech product has a long way to go in surpassing the twice-retired Tom Brady as the “GOAT,” Mahomes did become the first player in NFL history with multiple MVPs and championships within his first six seasons.

Despite potentially sharing the locker room with an extra stinky teammate, it’s likely that the other members of the Chiefs don’t mind, as long as the team keeps winning.
