GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) baseball is set to face Triad rival No. 6 Wake Forest on Tuesday, February 21 with a first pitch slated for 4 p.m.

Last Time Out
The Spartans hosted CAA opponent Northeastern for a three-game series to begin the season.
The Huskies opened the series with an 11-0 victory on Friday.
UNCG earned its first win of the season on Saturday with a score of 7-6.
Both teams battled until the end in a tight contest, where the Huskies came out on top, 12-9, on Sunday.
Over the three games, Daniel Cerda went 6-for-10 to lead the Spartans with a .600 batting average.
Zack Budzik went 4-for-12 with a team-best five RBIs this weekend.

The Spartans were voted to finish third in the SoCon Preseason Coaches Poll.
Kennedy Jones and Mitchell Smith were voted to the Preseason All-Conference first team.
Jones was named to the Golden Spikes Award Preseason Watch List.
Dallas Callahan was voted to the Preseason All-Conference second team.
UNCG has only had two errors within the three games played.
The Spartans have three double plays already this season.
Cerda leads the Spartans with a batting average of .600.
Hunter Shuey has an ERA of 0.00 pitching a total of 5.0 innings to start the series.
Julien Peissel, Grant Aycock, Luke Thomas, and Jay Miller all had their first collegiate appearances on the mound this past weekend.

Scouting Wake Forest Demon Deacons
Wake Forest is coming off a 4-0 weekend beating Youngstown State, 9-3 and 18-3, and Illinois 8-1 and 10-1.
The Demon Decans are ranked No. 4 in Perfect Game, No. 6 in D1Baseball.com, No. 6 in Collegiate Baseball, No. 6 in NCBWA, No. 8 in Baseball America, and No. 10 in USA Today Coaches Poll.
Nick Kurtz and Adam Cecere were the only two players in the nation to launch four home runs during open weekend.
Danny Corona and Kurtz lead the Demon Decans with a .500 batting average.
Ben Shenosky, and Joe Ariola both saw the mound for the first time in their collegiate careers this past weekend.
Among the nation, the Demon Deacons are leading the nation in strikeouts per nine innings (15.9), and win loss percentage (1.000).
They are ranked in the top 25 in the nation in 14 categories.
Wake Forest is leading the ACC in base on balls, hit batters, home runs, home runs per game, runs, sacrifice flies, slugging percentage, strikeout-to-walk ratio, strikeouts per nine innings, and win-loss percentage.

The Spartans continue the seven-game home stand by hosting Notre Dame for a three-game series, February 24 through February 26, slated for 4 p.m., 2 p.m., and 1 p.m., in respective order.
