Pride fall at home to Hampden-Sydney

Greensboro, NC – Senior Austin Abourjilie (Greensboro, NC) and Junior William Beyer (Greensboro, NC) combined for eight goals, each scoring four apiece, but it was not enough as the Greensboro College Men’s Lacrosse team fell to visiting Hampden-Sydney College, 24-12, in a non-conference match-up Saturday at Pride Field. It was a spirited affair between Greensboro and the Tigers with the teams playing physical on both sides of the field. While the Pride did not come away with the win, Head Coach Nate Bates saw his team compete hard until the final horn of the game and in the fourth quarter, they matched H-SC with four goals, with two of them coming on man-up opportunities.
