Erik Teague will take over for his father Jimmy Teague, as the new head football coach at Reidsville High School

Erik Teague has been named the new head football coach at Reidsville High School…Erik Teague is the son of Jimmy Teague, who stepped down as the head football coach of the Reidsville Rams, back in January…

Erik Teague was on his dad’s coaching staff, serving at the Offensive Coordinator and the Quarterbacks Coach for the Reidsville Rams…Erik Teague is taking over a Reidsville team that finished at (14-2) in 2022, and the Reidsville Rams lost in the NCHSAA 2-A State Championship game, to East Duplin…

In 2023 Erik Teague and Reidsville will have still have their quarterback Al Lee, plus current freshmen, Dionte Neal and Kendre Harrison…Neal is only 5’9, but he is one of the top overall athletes in the state, and Harrison is not too far behind Neal, but Harrison goes at 6’8/260…With Lee, Neal and Harrison, Coach Erik Teague has a great nucleus of returning players that will be ready for the Rams, in 2023…

It may take Erik Teague a few years to catch up with what his father, Jimmy Teague, did in the years he was coaching the Reidsville Rams…Coach Jimmy Teague amassed 8 State Championships, and his overall record was (339-58), while Coach Jimmy Teague was running the Rams…

During his coaching career, Jimmy Teague was the head football coach at Eastern Alamance HS, Charlotte Garinger HS, and Coach Jimmy Teague had two stints at Reidsville High School…Overall Jimmy Teague won 369 games, as a high school football coach….

Coach Teague was in charge of the offense at Greensboro College for one season, and he was the head football coach at George Washington High School, up in Danville, Virginia for two seasons…
