Coach Tim Bagamary named head football coach at Eastern Guilford High School.

The Eastern Guilford Athletic Department is excited to announce the appointment of Mr. Tim Bagamary as the new head varsity football coach at Eastern Guilford High School. Coach Bagamary has been coaching for 15 years in Guilford County. His first coaching stop was for three years at his alma mater Greensboro College, where he played all 4 years. He coached at Northern Guilford in 2011, and then began coaching at Page until after the 2017 season. Following that, he was the Offensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach at Thomasville High School for 2 years and then returned to Page for 2 more years in the same role.

Coach Bagamary came to Eastern Guilford in the Spring of 2022, where his passion and enthusiasm for helping young adults, is equally as evident as his knowledge and love of the game of football. While transitioning into a new leadership role for Wildcats, Coach Bagamary currently serves as Eastern Guilford’s head women’s track and field coach. “Coach Bags” brings a consistent hunger to maximize our student athlete’s potential and the excitement he brings to the program is contagious. His long term vision of Eastern Guilford Football extends beyond the lines of the field and into the classroom and EG Community. He has been married for almost 11 years to his wife Ashley, and has three children; Jonah (9), Levi (7), and Phoebe (6). He lives in Gibsonville and is proud to be a Wildcat.

**********from GreensboroSports.com on Coach Tim Bagamary:Coach Bagamary was the first name I asked Coach Tony Aguilar about, as Coach Ag was making his new move to Southeast Alamance High School…I first met up with Coach Tim Bagamary, when he was playing wide receiver for the Greensboro College Pride…His coach back then was Neil Mitchell, and Tim Bagamary was the top receiver on the GC Pride team, and he was also one of the top receivers in the conference…I used to call him the “Old Bag”, because he was like a grocery bag or grocery sack, you throw it to him, and it would be right there in the wide-open bag/Tim Bagamary…Bagamary had long red hair, and that long red mane, used to stick out of the back of his football helmet…Now, to me, he looks like Sami Zayn, from the WWE…The time is right for Tim Bagamary to become a head high school football coach, he will do a great job repping Eastern Guilford High School football….**********
