Coach Evans took over for Coach Furlough, a couple years back, when she had to step away due to the complications she was experiencing due to cancer, and Coach Josh ran the team for around 16 games that season, while Coach Furlough was away…
Josh Evans is a former NG Nighthawks girls basketball assistant coach, but he spent last season as the boys head basketball coach at Rockingham County HS…
Good to see Coach Furlough today, and good to Josh Evans taking over the helm of the girls basketball program, at Northern Guilford High School….He has paid his dues…

Coach Josh Evans was (3-21) overall, and (3-11) in the conference during the 2022-2023 basketball season, as the boys head basketball coach, at Rockingham County High School…I think you have to throw that record out the door…I think Coach Josh Evans was born to be a women’s/girl’s basketball coach, just like Captain Lou Albano was born in the USA…Hope to see him coaching girls basketball at Northern Guilford HS for many years to come…
So far we have gone 2-2 this week on the coaching selections in Guilford County….I told former Eastern Guilford HS head football coach Tony Aguilar that Tim Bagamary would be his replacement, and he is, and we told local sports fan, and close follower of coaches Brandon Cannon, that Josh Evans/Coach Josh, would be the next head women’s basketball coach at Northern Guilford HS, and he is…For the Dudley Panthers, that job is open, as they look for a new men’s basketball coach…I would like to see current girls basketball coach Frank McNeil go for that job, or maybe bring in former Coach David Price’s son Damien, or even look at bringing on board Brett Hinson, the former Dudley assistant JV boys basketball coach…We shall see, and this might even be a job former Dudley point guard Josh Chavis would take a look at …We shall see…
