The top games of the day from Thursday were the 2-1 win by Western Alamance over Asheboro, and the 7-5 victory for Eastern Alamance past Northern Guilford…For Western Alamance, Cooper Huff was 2-3/Double/Run/RBI…Asheboro’s Tanner Marsh was 2-3/BB…Eastern Alamance was up 6-0 over NG, and the EA Eagles held on to get the win, 7-5…Game leadoff home run by EA’s Cole McGinnis…McGinnis with the HR and 2 RBI…Zack Merchel with a 3-run Double for EA…Solid work turned by Grimsley’s freshman OF/P Tai Richmond…One of Grimsley’s real undoings was their Wild Pitches that led to Southeast Guilford runs…The Whirlies must have uncorked at least 7 Wild Pitches that led directly to SEG scoring runs…For SEG still very impressed with the Falcons’ freshman, Jerry ‘Bubba’ Sims…Sims was 4-4, with 4 RBI on Wednesday, and then he came back and went 3-4, with two Doubles, 4 RBI, and a run scored on Thursday…Sims over the two-day stretch goes 7-8, with 8 RBI…Two really big bats for North Davidson, with Justin Mabe and Alex Naylor really getting it going…Naylor goes 4-5, with 2 Doubles/2 RBI/Run…Mabe was 2-2/2 Doubles/2 BB/2 Runs/2 RBI…Mabe is really found his game fits in nicely, at the Greensboro Grasshoppers First National Bank Field….Williams’ Trace Hicks was 1-1/BB/Run…Charlie Smith had pinch hit Double for the Williams Bulldogs…
