Greenville Drive 7, Greensboro Grasshoppers 6…10 Innings
WP:Alex Hoppe(1-0)…Hoppe, not a former Hopper, but he is a former UNCG Spartans pitcher…
LP:Eddy Yean(1-1)
SV:Robert Kwiatkowski(1)
Hoppers(7-3)/Drive(4-5)
The Greensboro Grasshoppers got solo home runs from Jase Bowen, Will Matthiessen, Maikol Escotto, and Mike Jarvis…Maikol Escotto went 2-4, with his HR, plus he had two RBI…Mike Jarvis 1-5/HR/2 RBI…

Hoppers led 2-1, 3-2, tied the game at 5-5, and then end up falling 7-6, in 10 innings…

Solid start for Hoppers’ Po-Yu Chen, as he went a steady five innings in his starter’s role, allowing one run on three hits, with two walks and five strikeouts…

The Boston Red Sox top draft prospect and former #1 pick Marcelo Mayer went 3-5/Double, with an RBI for the Greenville Drive…The Drive’s Chase Meidroth goes 2-5, with an RBI and two runs scored…

Greensboro’s bullpen gives up six of the seven runs scored by the Greenville Drive…From our view, Jaycob Deese did look impressive working from the Hoppers’ pen on Tuesday evening…Six walks from the Hoppers’ pitching staff, and just two walks coming from the Greenville hurlers…Hoppers batters go down 13 times by way of the K, while Greenville had 11 men strikeout on Tuesday night…

Another thing/part of the game that really got the Drive moving were the stolen bases from the Greenville team…Six stolen bases by Greenville, with two SB’s by center fielder Max Ferguson…The Drive were swiping most of their bags off of the Hoppers bullpen pitchers…
