It is with heavy hearts that Ragsdale Athletics announces the passing of Richard Capps, a beloved member of our faculty and coaching staff. Richard completed his earthly journey yesterday/Monday morning.
Richard Capps was a dedicated coach and teacher who had a positive impact on countless students throughout his tenure at Ragsdale High School. He was a beloved member of our community who will be deeply missed.
During his time at Ragsdale Coach Capps served as a Head Track Coach and Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach and taught Business Education Classes. Coach Capps was passionate about his work and went above and beyond to ensure that his students had the knowledge and skills they needed to succeed.
Ragsdale Athletics would like to extend our deepest condolences to Richard’s family and friends during this difficult time. We are grateful for the time we had with Coach Capps and the many contributions he made to our school and community.
