Bishop, Craven and Dunlow receive USA South Weekly Honors

Rome, GA – The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its weekly award winners and three Greensboro College Student-Athletes have made the list.

Baseball Rookie of the Week
Avery Bishop – The freshman outfielder from Tampa, Florida went a combined 3-for-8 (.373) with a .375 on-base percentage, and an .875 slugging percentage in the only games played last week for the Pride, a doubleheader sweep of USA South rival Greensboro. Bishop totaled two runs, four RBI, one double, one home run, and one stolen base in the victories.

Baseball Rookie Pitcher of the Week
Stephen Dunlow – The freshman from Oxford, North Carolina appeared in relief in two games last week for the Pride against USA South foes, earning a win over 4.1 innings pitched while allowing two runs on five hits with three walks and five strikeouts. In a 14-2 victory over Pfeiffer, Dunlow tossed three shutout innings, allowing two hits and one walk with four strikeouts.

Softball Player of the Week
Kelsey Craven – The sophomore catcher from Ramseur, North Carolina was a combined 8-for-15 (.533), with a .588 on-base percentage, and an .800 slugging percentage to go along with two runs scored, six RBI, one double, one home run, and two walks as the Pride went 3-1 against USA South competition last week. In a doubleheader split with Meredith, Craven was a combined 5-for-8 with three RBI and two walks. In a doubleheader sweep of 19th-ranked Pfeiffer, Craven was a combined 3-for-7 with two runs scored, three RBI, one double, and one home run.
