UNCG Track & Field Finishes Regular Season on High Note

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men’s and women’s track & field had student-athletes at both the Wake Forest Invitational and the Aggie Classic this past weekend.

In total, UNCG had 18 personal bests in the two days of competition.

Graduate student Dylan Christopher competed at the Wake Forest Invitational on Friday and ran in the 10,000-meter event. In his first time running the event this season, Christopher ran a personal best time of 29:54.54, which was 33 seconds faster than his time from the VertKlasse Meeting in 2021.

Christopher is just the second Spartan to run the 10,000-meter run under 30 minutes. This time puts him second on the Southern Conference (SoCon) performance list and 84th on the NCAA East Region list.

At the Aggie Classic, the women had three top-five performances, while the men had four.

Graduate student Chandler McCaslin finished fourth in the 800-meter run with a personal best time of 2:15.80, while freshman Reagan O’Quinn followed with a fifth-place mark of 2:17.80.

Freshman Victoria Sosa finished fourth out of 28 competitors in the 1500-meter run, clocking in a personal best time of 4:51.53.

Graduate student Joe Thoma and senior Jonathan Kennedy finished third and fourth, respectively, in the 800-meter run. Thoma clocked in a personal best time of 1:53.51, while Kennedy ran 1:56.75.
