UNCG Baseball Drop Series Opener At ETSU

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) baseball team dropped the first game in its series against ETSU on Thursday evening, 6-0.

How It Happened

ETSU put two runs on the board in the bottom of the second with Noah Gent’s solo home run to left field and a sacrifice fly from Ryan McCarthy that scored teammate Noah Webb.

Rob Ready came in relief in the bottom of the third and pitched 5.1 innings only allowing one run, two hits, and struck out three batters. The Bucs added three more runs in the frame, which brought their advantage to 5-0.

In the bottom of the fifth, the Bucs added another run that extended the final score to 6-0.

Kennedy Jones, Dosi Jonas, Mitchell Smith, and Zack Budzik each had a hit.
