East Men
John Asmussen
East head coach is entering his 16th season as head men’s soccer coach at Clayton High where he has compiled a record of 209- 74 – 20 in 15 seasons….has compiled a career record of 222-81-24 in 20 seasons and his teams have own 9 conference regular season titles and 4 conference tournament titles and made 14 playoff appearance…5 times named Conference Coach of the Year…3 times named Regional Coach of the Year…previously served as the head women’s soccer coach at Lassiter High (GA) and as the head men’s soccer coach at North Johnston High and West Johnston High…also previously served as the head softball coach at Clayton High…born in Hackensack, NJ…1997 graduate of Lenape High (NJ) where he played soccer, playing for a state championship team and receiving All-South Jersey Honorable Mention recognition, and golf, receiving All-Conference and All-South Jersey Honorable Mention recognitions…2001 graduate of Elon University…2011 Masters in Athletic Administration from Northcentral University…says “It is an honor to coach in this prestigious event and to represent Dr. Bennet Jones and Clayton High School along with the Clayton High School soccer program. The success that we have achieved at Clayton is not the work of one person but instead a great staff including both Coach Joseph Mott and Coach Keith Jenkins. I want to acknowledge and thank Keith Jenkins, a friend, and my coaching mentor for close to twenty years who has taught me so much about being both a leader and coach. I finally want to thank my wife Lynette and daughter Maddie who have sacrificed a lot to allow me to continue to follow my passion of coaching student-athletes at Clayton High School.”

West head coach is entering his 12th season as the head men’s soccer coach at Ledford High where he has compiled a career record of 167-70-17 in 11 seasons and his teams have won 3 conference regular season titles and made 11 state playoff appearances…also serves as the head women’s soccer coach at Ledford High…5 times named Men’s Conference Coach of the Year and twice named Women’s Region Coach of the Year…born in Germany…2005 graduate of North Davidson High…2009 graduate of Appalachian State University…says “It is an amazing honor to coach in this amazing event. I look forward to building relationships and helping the athletes grow not only as soccer players but most importantly as young men.”

Chris Mizelle
East head coach is entering his entering his 5th season as the head women’s soccer coach at Fike High where he has compiled a career record of 48-14-3 in 4 seasons and his women’s teams have made 3 state playoff appearances…also serves as the head men’s soccer coach, compiling a career record of 128-40-11 in 9 seasons and his men’s teams have won 4 conference regular season titles, 3 conference tournament titles, and made 9 state playoff appearances… served as the North Carolina men’s head coach in the 2022 Clash of the Carolinas and as the Northeast Region men’s head coach in the 2015 Powerade State Games…as the men’s soccer coach he was 6 times named Conference Coach of the Year, 3 times named Region Coach of the Year…named 2015 Women’s Assistant Coach of the Year…2017 NC Youth Soccer Association Service Award recipient…also served as Director of Soccer & Coaching for Wilson Youth Soccer Association and as the Regional Chairman for the NC Soccer Coaches Association since 2015…born in Washington, NC…2009 graduate of Northern Nash High where he played soccer and was 3 times named All-Conference , twice named All-Region, and was the 2008 Conference Defensive Player of the Year…2012 graduate of Barton College where he also played soccer…says “I feel extremely fortunate to be coaching in the NCCA East-West All-Star game. To be considered in the same light as many of the prestigious coaches that have been involved in this event is a true honor, and I’m excited to be able to do so at this point in my career. Many of those coaches have served as incredible mentors to me, and I’m pleased to put those lessons to good use in working with an extremely talented group of young women as part of their final high school interscholastic match.”

West Women
Tim Buck
West head coach is the head women’s coach at Rockingham County High…named Conference coach of the Year…coached in the Powerade State Games…coached 37 All-Conference selections, 21 All-Region Selections, 5 Conference Player of the Year selections, and 1 NCCA East-West All-Star selection…born in Danville, VA… graduate of Morehead High School…graduate of UNC Greensboro….M. Ed in Education from N.C. State…says “I am extremely honored to represent the rural community of Draper, NC as well as Rockingham County High School in the NCCA East-West All-Star game. I attribute this honor to my family, mentors, and most importantly to my players, many of whom are in attendance tonight. I would like to thank the NCCA for having an all-star game to further elevate the sport of soccer at the high school level.”
