Going to be very tough for HP Central to hand with Dudley in this game at The Tarp…Tarpley Stadium…CJ Neely, Nasir Newkirk, Kordell Bartley, Jerron Blackwell, and maybe some DJ Parker too…Dudley just too deep for Central to bail water and get out of this one..Dudley with Andrew/Drew Attmore II at QB, and not much HP Central can do to stop all of these threats…Plus Dudley can smack you in the mouth with LJ Southern, Jayden Brown and Rayshawn Wilson at RB….Then you have to try and move the ball on the Dudley defense, and good luck with that…
Rockingham County(2-1) at Southern Guilford(0-3) 7pm
One of those sort of rare situations where The ROCK actually has the experience on SG…The ROCK can run experienced guys out there, whereas SG will go with a #1 and #2 QB spot, where both players are freshmen, at that key position…At C.K. Siler Stadium, but The ROCK comes in with the edge…Bryce Baker at QB for ROCK and he is a senior….
Smith(1-2) at WS Atkins(0-3) 7pm
Still learning about the Smith Golden Eagles and new head coach Montis Lash…Last week, Smith got walloped by Thomasville, 33-0, but Atkins is much more like Smith, and the Camels are still on the building level…Anybody’s game, but do you favor the home team???
Southeast Guilford(2-1) at Grimsley(3-0) 7:30pm
Has the makings for a very long night for the SEG Falcons…Grimsley stacked with QB Faison Brandon, RB Mitchell Summers, WRs Alex Taylor and Terrell Anderson….Lightning outside of bottle here…You just can’t keep this bunch bottled up…Brandon can pass and run, Summers can run away from you, and just when you think Taylor and Anderson are going quiet, they will erupt on you in a second…Grimsley is always one big play from burying the opposition, and you do want to let them hit the big strike, and if they do, you will be struck out…
Western Guilford(1-2) at Northwest Guilford(2-1) 7:30pm
NWG RB Malique Jones has a chip on his shoulder, and can you blame him??? He really has something to prove, as he prepares to run against his former WG Hornet teammates…Jones can haul the mail, deliver the mail, and then stop and read you the postage listings while he takes a deep breath….RB Jones, QB Tanner Ballou, WR Trent Cloud, and RB/LB Ryan Debow, and several others including DB Prince Brown….NWG just has way too many weapons for Western Guilford to counter….Game at The Billings Stadium, and Mr. Billings was the principal at NWG, but his sons Randy and Terry played high school football for Western Guilford…There has been an interchange of talent between these two schools going on for over 50 years…Right now Northwest has the best water in the talent pool…
Northern Guilford(0-3) at Ragsdale(0-3) 7:30pm
Got this sneaky feeling that Jaxon Kemp is going into breakout mode for Northern Guilford…He had a very productive night, against a very talented Eastern Alamance team, two weeks ago…Got this crazy feeling that Kemp is in arrival formation, and he is ready to produce…Ragsdale has talent too, but the Tigers have been having trouble getting their talent to gel and play together to make up a winning formula…The winner of this game will pick up their first victory of the season, and they will also be (1-0) in the Metro 4-A Conference…This is very much a pivotal game for both of these schools….
Southwest Guilford(2-1) at Page(0-3) 7:30pm….We will have this game for you with broadcast on GreensboroSports Radio 2…..Game will be announced by Demetri Morrison, from GreensboroSports.com…Demetri played professional football for the indoor Greensboro Revolution…He was teammates with Will Bradley, from Will Bradley Sports Performance…Will was able to cut over two-tenths of a second off of Demetri’s 40 yard run time…Demetri went from a 4.75 to a 4.5 time in the 40….For SWG they will run multiple QBs with Wilson, Hairston, Crump, Lloyd and others getting snaps back there, and when they get the snap, it is time to take off and run it…Or go to a spread RPO, and then let it go…Page will come at with one key man, and it is no secret who that man is…You might be able to say, “There goes that Man again”, as #5 for Page, Maurice Andrews takes off running with that pigskin…No hiding the fact that Andrews is probably 75% of the Page offense and he will command at least 25 carries per game…If he carries the ball 30 times, I say Page wins…Thirty carries, with an average of four yards a carry, and he is at 120 yards, and Page has a very good chance to take the game…Last year Page won this game 10-7, but the 2022 Page kicker, Elliot has graduated…Nigel Hinson is the Page QB….Gonna be tighter than Dicks Hat Band again this year, and the Page band might called upon to play some distracting music, and for sure there will be plenty of noise being made tonight, at The Kirb….Marion Kirby Stadium….
West Stokes(2-2) at High Point Andrews(2-2) 7:30pm
I put a lot of stock in the two Correys for HP Andrews….Correy McManus the Red Raiders RB, and Corey Pate, the Andrews’ RB…HP Andrews QB Devin Hackstall, the former Ragsdale Tigers starting quarterback, did not play the full game for Andrews, last week at North Rowan…Andrews has the stock to beat Stokes…Andrews in a must-win 2-A contest…Got to get this one, in order to be there at the end of the season, and to be in line to win the Conference Title….
