We already had QBs Andrew Attmore II from Dudley, Tanner Ballou from Northwest Guilford, Faison Brandon from Grimsley, and Jackson Jones from Eastern Guilford stepping up and carrying the County Banner, and after what we witnessed tonight, there’s a Kemp in the County, and he goes by the name of Jaxson Kemp, and this kid Kemp is getting ready to give us reasons to call the kid named Kemp, The Next Big Thing, when it comes to Guilford County Quarterbacks…
You have seen Attmore, Ballou, Brandon, and Jones tossing the pigskin around this season, and now we have no reason why you should sleep on Kemp, because Kemp is heating up…..
Faison Brandon came into the year, as the next big thing from the sophomore Class of 2025, and now we know Jaxson Kemp is on the same level as the current tops like Brandon, Attmore, Ballou, Jones, and others….
Jaxson Kemp got it going for the NG Nighthawks tonight, and we caught them, becoming the NG of old again…
Kemp at the helm for the NG Nighthawks and their 42-14 victory over Southeast Guilford, Kemp was 13-21 passing for 126, but he also took off on the run for 51 yards on 6 carries, with Jaxson Kemp running for three scores/touchdowns…I dare to say this was the best oveall running night of the season for Northern Guilford…The ‘Hawks had right at 200 yards rushing overall, and all six of their TDs were touchdown runs…
Amare Akers for NG had 65 yards on 14 carries, plus two TDs…Dwight Hall ran the ball 8 times for NG, good for 51 yards, and then the Northern Guilford Nighthawk backup runners came in the were pounding the ball up in there too….

Back in 2021, current Northern Guilford HS athletic director Chase Cochran coached the Northern Guilford Middle School team to an Unbeaten Season, and now many of those NG Middle School players are still together on the NG Varsity Football Team…Along with the sophomore QB Jaxson Kemp you have, Amare Akers, Chance Cruz, Cohen Muse, Noah Smith, Charlie Griffin, Sam Bagley, Edward Geddie, Arimeeh Mack, CJ Morrison, Chris Armstrong, and Bobby Bah…That’s quite the young crew of Nighthawk sophomores right there, with most of them starting for the NG varsity team, and all of those young men having experience what it is like to go through a season, Unbeaten…
The NG Nighthawks are just a few points away from being in the same category they were back in 2021, but they are finding out just how it is to make all that magic happen on the Varsity level….
From tonight’s game at Johnny Roscoe Stadium, we had Jaxson Kemp as our Steak n Shake Offensive Player of the Game, and Jaxon Moore as our Steak n Shake Defensive Player of the Game…We did not have the Jackson Five, but we did have the Jaxson/Jaxon Two…

Southeast Guilford came onto Spencer Dixon Road this evening with a load of injuries and several players that had just been sick…SEG fought through it all and had QB Germaine Harris take off on an 80-yard TD run, and Harris was right at 100 yards overall rushing on the night….Harris net yards put him a bit lower than his 100 due to some losses…SEG QB Marsh ran the ball 6 times for 66 yards…Marsh also threw for a TD pass…SEG WR Bryon Arant had 2 receptions for 32 yards and one TD….
Big nights for Grimsley, Dudley, Eastern Guilford, Northeast Guilford, Southwest Guilford, and High Point Andrews…Lots of offense going around tonight, in the wins by those teams…
