We were at the Grimsley game last night…Page at Grimsley, but way too much Grimsley for Page last night…Grimsley QB Faizon Brandon throws some long balls, but for him it seems to be a method of make the quick toss to your outside receivers Terrell Anderson and Alex Taylor and then let those boys run…And them two, as the old folks used to say, “Them two can run”…And Faizon Brandon can run too…The young man also makes good reads and he can move his big body around so quick, it is all moving very fast around him…
And talk about running, that Mitchell Summers is not any bigger than minute, as the new folks say, but that Mitchell Summer, that kid can run…And he has a wild hat that he was wearing on the sidelines after his work was done…
That Grimsley O-Line is BIG…That right tackle is a mountain of a man…You better be ready when you go up against this bunch of Whirlies, and Page felt like they were ready, but the Pirates did just not have enough gas in the tank for the drive that they need, to top the Grimsley juggernaut right now..I did get behind the Page buses and followed them down Benjamin Parkway and into the Jamieson Stadium parking lot…I felt like I was on ship that was being steered in the right direction, not really knowing that we were all headed to the land of the lagoon…
Grimsley has plenty of gas in the tank, and you can expect the Whirlies to keep their foot on the gas pedal as they head up to Spencer Dixon Road to face the Northern Guilford Nighthawks, next Friday night…
