Men’s Golf Finishes on Top at Bryan National Collegiate

BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men’s golf team finished in first place at the Bryan National Collegiate on Monday after recording its best score in program history with a 21-under-par (267) in the third round of the two-day tournament.

TEAM
The Spartans finished the three-round tournament with a 37-under-par (827) to finish 33 strokes ahead of second-place Elon, who had a four-under-par (860).
UNCG and Elon were the only two teams to finish the tournament under-par.
UNCG finished the back-nine on Monday to tally a seven-under-par (281) in round two.
As a team, the Spartans led the way with 74 birdies.

INDIVIDUAL
Three Spartans finished the tournament in the top-three placings of the event with Symon Balbin finishing in first place, Keenan Royalty in second and Noah Connor in third.
Balbin carded a total score of 15-under-par (201) after recording his career best finish in round three with a seven-under-par (65).
Royalty came in just behind Balbin at second place after carding a total score of nine-under-par (207). Royalty carded his career best finish with a six-under-par (66) in the final round of the tournament.
Connor rounded out the top-three individual leaderboard with a seven-under-par (209). Connor recorded his best score of the tournament in the final round with a six-under-par (66).
Balbin finished on top individually with 19 birdies, Connor followed just in-behind with 18 birdies over the tournament.
Randall Hudson finished tied for sixth after carding a three-under-par (213). Hudson had his best game in round two with a four-under-par (68).
Andrew Graham followed in-behind the leaderboard with par (216) for a ninth place finish.
Samuel Davidson finished par (216) and had his best game in round three with a two-under-par (70).
Kelvin Hernandez came in-behind Davidson with a three-over-par (219) finish to tie for 18th place. The freshman had his best score in round two with par (72).
Jack Marcotte finished tied for 35th place after recording a six-over-par (222).
Parker Truesdale rounded out the leaderboard for the Spartans with a 12-over-par (228) finish.

The Spartans will return to action in the spring of 2024 by hosting Palmas del Mar Collegiate in Humacao, Puerto Rico at the Palmas del Mar Golf Club from Sunday, Feb. 11 to Tuesday, Feb. 13.
