The Dudley Panthers out-scored the Central Davidson Spartans, 48-6, on Friday evening, and there were not too many chinks in the Panthers armour…Dudley was pressuring Central Davidson and forcing three-and-out possessions from the Spartans offense, and Dudley was also blocking punts, with the Panthers blocking two punt attempts by CD early in the contest, and eventually forcing CD to scrap all punts…
Dudley doing it on Defense, Dudley doing it on Special Teams, and Dudley doing it on offense…Dudley QB Andrew/Drew Attmore II only threw 13 passes, but completed 9 of his passes for a whopping 243 yards and 4 TDs…Attmore now with 3,147 passing yards for the season, with 41 TD passes in 2023 for his Dudley Panthers…The county record for passing yards in a season is 3,300 held by Drew Adams, the former QB at High Point Central…Attmore II with his 41 TD passes trails Donnie Davis from Burlington Cummings HS, and Kyle Pinnix from Reidsville HS, with Davis and Pinnix throwing for 45 touchdowns in a single season….Some pretty good company there, and not sure where Pinnix played college football, but I remember Davis playing at Georgia Tech…
Some pretty good company on the field for the Dudley Panthers on Friday night, with that group of junior class receievers being some of the best athletes we have ever seen combined together on the offensive side of the football…Attmore II going to juniors Kordell Bartley, Nasir Newkirk, CJ Neely, Antonio Lee, Jerron Blackwell, plus running backs LJ Southern and Jayden Brown, as all of these young men are pass catchers…
Maybe the best group of junior class receivers we have had in the county, and the real crazy thing is, Bartley, Newkirk, Neely, Lee, Blackwell, Southern, and Jayden Brown are all just in the 11th grade and they all will return for the Panthers next season…A lot of talent in that group/bunch and still hard to comprehend the fact that they are all just juniors…
Looking at what Dudley did with the Offense on Friday night…
QB Attmore II went 9-13 passing for 243 yards and 4 TD passes…Kordell Bartely had four Dudley receptions for 94 yards and 1 TD…Bartley was doing some very shifty and nifty running on Friday night, at The Tarp/Dudley’s Tarpley Stadium…CJ Neely had 1 reception for Dudley and it was good for a TD…
Neely now with 76 receptions on the season, and that is a boat load…Nasir Newkirk with 2 receptions for Dudley, and they were good for 52 yards…Antonio Lee with the one catch for 13 yards for the Panthers, but the grab by Lee, was good for a Dudley TD…Running back LJ Southern had one reception for the Panthers, and Southern turned his wheel-route catch, into a 21-yard TD pass reception…That should cover what Dudley was able to do with the nine Drew Attmore completions on this night, and the home team made the most of every one of those hauls/balls…
