UNCG’s Keyshaun Earns Second SoCon Player of the Week Award
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men’s basketball team guard Keyshaun Langley(Southwest Guilford High School) was named The Southern Conference (SoCon) Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for all contests from Jan. 29-Feb. 4.

Langley, who won the award on Nov. 20, led UNCG to two conference road wins last week. The Spartans defeated VMI, 85-79, on Jan. 31, before topping Furman, 89-87, on Feb. 4.
In the contest with VMI, Langley finished with 17 points, including four makes from behind the arc, three rebounds, four assists, four steals, and a block. Four days later, the graduate student logged a career-high 30 points at Furman, connecting on six three-pointers in the game. Langley also had four rebounds, two assists, and two steals against the Paladins.
Langley’s 30-point performance marked the third time this season that a Spartan scored 30 or more points in a game. The High Point, North Carolina, product’s performance against the Paladins also led to him being named the Field of 68’s Player of the Night.
For the week, Langley averaged 23.5 points and 3.0 steals per game, shooting 50 percent from the field (15-for-30), 62.5 percent from long distance (10-for-16), and 87.5 percent from the charity stripe (7-for-8).
UNCG (17-6, 8-2 SoCon) hosts Samford (20-3, 9-1) on Thursday in a matchup of the top two teams in the SoCon standings. The contest will air on ESPNU at 7 p.m. ET. The Spartans welcome Chattanooga (15-8, 7-3) on Saturday.

UNCG returns home for two games, hosting Samford on Thursday, February 8 at the Greensboro Coliseum with a start time of 7:00 p.m. This game will be broadcast on ESPNU. The Spartans will then host Chattanooga on Saturday, February 10 at 4:00 p.m. back on ESPN+ at the Greensboro Coliseum.
