HPT HiToms Announce Lacrosse Jamboree
High Point/Thomasville – The High Point Thomasville Hi-Toms announced today the launch of the Inaugural HPT Lax Classic Saturday, April 20th at Greensboro College. Designed to showcase central North Carolina’s top girls and boy’s high school lacrosse players, the one-day event in downtown Greensboro will feature six teams and four schools in a girl’s doubleheader and a boy’s single contest.
Featuring AAA/AA/A girl’s state runner-up Bishop McGuinness High School and perennial North Carolina power Weddington, the HPT Classic will also include a boy’s match-up Bishop McGuinness Catholic and Davie County.
“The HPT HiToms are pleased to provide area lacrosse fans with an exciting tripleheader,” HiToms President Greg Suire said. “Lacrosse falls right in line with our overall growth strategy of facilitating ‘classic’ events for scholastic athletes which broaden their opportunity to play competitive, regional events at collegiate facilities.
Partnering with Greensboro College and Lawndale Veterinary Hospital to host the event, the HPT Classic will feature an impressive lineup of future Division 1 women’s players: Wedington HS’s Elektra Koulouris – Duke signee and Bishop McGuinness’ two-time All-State selection and Penn State commit Kate Dennen.
