Greensboro Grasshoppers scoring moments in the Saturday night game…Hoppers led the game, 5-2 going to the Sixth Inning…Greensboro had trailed early in the contest, 2-0, before grabbing that 5-2 advantage over the Drive, with the Charles McAdoo three-run Home Run being the big shot for the Hoppers…And the Greensboro Grasshoppers had two men on base with just one out, in the Top of the Eighth Inning, before their rally was snuffed out by Greenville…
Scoring Highlights for the Hoppers:
Top 4th
Nick Cimillo reaches on a fielding error by third baseman Ahbram Liendo. Mitch Jebb scores.
GBO 1,GVL 2
Top 5th
Sammy Siani singles on a ground ball to left fielder Juan Chacon. Jack Brannigan scores. Termarr Johnson to 2nd.

Hopper Hitters for the night:Sammy Siani 2-5/Run/RBI…Mitch Jebb 2-3/BB/Run…Charles McAdoo 1-4/HR/3 RBI…Jack Brannigan 1-4/BB/Run…Hudson Head 1-4…Geovanny Planchart 1-4…Luke Brown 1-4…Termarr Johnson 0-3/2 BB/Run…Nick Cimillo 0-3/BB..Every Greensboro Grasshopper reached base on Saturday night…
Hoppers’ starting pitcher Wilber Dotel went five innings, giving up just 2 runs on five hits, with a Walk, and Six Strikeouts…The two runs that Dotel gave up were solo home runs, by Tyler Miller and Cutter Coffey…They say the solo homers won’t kill you, and they did not destroy Dotel…He did his part to limit the damage, and left the game, with the lead….From the Hoppers’ bullpen, both Jaycob Deese and Julian Bosnic, had their struggles on Saturday night, in Greenville….
The top Drive hitters were Miller and Coffey, who hit the solo HRs…Tyler Miller went 3-4/HR/Run/RBI…Cutter Coffey was 2-5/HR/2 Runs/RBI…The Greenville winning pitcher, Dalton Rogers, really got blasted…Rogers went 3 2/3’s innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits, with 4 BBs/4 Ks, and he gave up the Charles McAdoo three-run Home Run…Fortunately for Rogers, he was still around when the Drive grabbed those two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, to move in front of the Hoppers, 6-5…Then behind Caleb Bolden, the Drive held on to win the game…
Greenville Drive take a 3-2 lead in the Best-of-Six Games Series this week, in Greenville, S.C.
