Caldwell Basketball players make ALL AREA BOYS
BASKETBALL TEAM.
Jaylen Cross, (JR) G makes FIRST TEAM All Area Basketball.
The four-star shooting guard is the 128th ranked national and # 6
North Carolina 2025 recruiting prospect, according to 2475Sports
Composite. This season PTAC Player of the Year & NCISAA 2A
all-state selection averaged 19 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4 assists for
the Eagles, who finished 23-10 overall, 10-2 to win the area’s best
conference, and reached the NCISAA 2A quarterfinals. He is a
three-time News & Record all-area selection. Has 12 Division 1
scholarship offers.
J3 Swindwell, (SR), F , named to the Second Team All-Area Selection.
The versatile wing player earned NCISAA 2A Al-State & PTAC
all conference honors after averaging 16.7 points, 8 rebounds and
3 assists per game for the Eagles. He eclipsed 2,000 career points for
his career and is committed to play collegiately at Division 11
Tusculum. Selected to the NC Private School All-Star Game and the
Triad All-Star Classic. Foundational piece for a program that has
risen since going 5—14 in 2020-21. Also participated in baseball
and cross country for Caldwell.
