The magic ran out Saturday night for the Greensboro Grasshoppers at McCormick Field, in Asheville…The Hops had been on top most of the week, winning the first three contests of this series, before falling on Friday…And the Hoppers fell again on Saturday night, but they did lead again on Saturday…Hoppers up 2-0 early, the Greensboro was in front, 2-1, 3-1, and then 3-2…

Then the hammer came down in the fifth inning, with the Tourists behind 3-2, and the home team for Saturday plated two big runs, to win the ballgame, 4-3…Back-to-Back wins now for the Tourists, as this Six-Game Series will be ending on Sunday afternoon…In the sixth thru ninth innings, there was nothing but Goose Eggs, laying out there Saturday, on the ASHE scoreboard…Hoppers lead the Six-Game Set, going into Sunday afternoon’s finale, 3-2…..

Termarr Johnson was 1-3/HR/BB/Run/2 RBI…Josiah Sightler 2-4/HR/Run/RBI…Geovanny Planchart 1-2/BB…Jack Brannigan 0-3/Run…Hudson Head 0-3/BB…Charles McAdoo was 0-1 as a Pinch Hitter, but McAdoo is breaking through, and is batting just above .332, and Charles in Charge, is batting .333 for the season, for the Grasshoppers…

Highlights of the night, from up there in Asheville…The highlighters would have to be Termarr Johnson and Josiah Sightler, as those two broke through with the Hoppers Hot Homers of the Night….The Hot Hitter of the game for ASHE, and this kid hit Two home runs in this contest, and becoming the man was, Brice Matthews…Matthews goes 2-3/2 HRs/BB/2 Runs/2 RBI, for the Tourists…

Hoppers’ starting pithcer Wilber Dotel, went 3 innings and he gave up 2 runs, on 3 hits, with 2 BBs/5 Ks, plus Dotel gave up two long risers/HRs(Brice Matthews)…Dominic Perachi(3-1) took the loss for the Hoopers and Perachi worked the middle innings, going three frames and allowing 2 runs on 5 hits, with 4 BBs/2 Ks…Four strikeouts from Cy Nielson, in late relief, with two innings of work for the Hoppers…

Asheville pitcher Franny Cobos came out of the bullpen, to get the win, and Cobos goes 4 1/3 innings of long relief work, giving up 0 Runs, on 1 hit, with 1 BB/ 4 Ks…Solid effort right there, from Cobos, with his pretty clean slate late, to help nail down his Tourists victory….
