Hoppers made the most of those big hits on Sunday, with Shawn Ross connecting on a three-run Home Run, his 12th of the year, and it was Home Run #10 of the season, for Lonnie White Jr., and his was a two-run shot…Charles McAdoo with two extra-base hits, a Triple and a Double, and with his two hits on Sunday, MAC produced two more runs, and that now gives Charles, 51 RBI for 2024…

The Hoppers with 5 runs in the second inning, to go up 6-2 over the Dash…The Grasshoppers come up with 3 more runs in a very productive ninth inning to close strong in the ballgame, and that 12-4 final, was a great way to finish out the six-game road trip…

And as we were saying before, Ross, White Jr. and McAdoo were really on fire at the plate on Sunday afternoon, and their overall number bear that thought out in order…Shawn Ross 3-5/HR/2 Runs/3 RBI/SB…Lonnie White Jr. 3-4/HR/BB/3 Runs/2 RBI…Charles McAdoo 2-4/Triple/Double/BB/1 Run/2 RBI…That accounts for 8 of your 9 Hopper Hits right there and half of your runs scored…Other Hoppers at the plate on Sunday:Termarr Johnson 1-4/Double/BB/2 RBI…Hudson Head 0-4/BB/Run…Mitch Jebb 0-2/3 BBs/2 Runs/SB…Kalae Harrison 0-4/BB/Run…Luke Brown 0-2/BB/2 HBP/2 Runs…

Here is how it was going/flowing, and a look first, at the Top of the Second Inning, where the Hoppers snared a 6-2 lead over the WS Dash…

Greensboro Grasshoppers’ pitching on Sunday saw Alessandro Ercolani get the start and go 3 1/3 innings, allowing 2 runs, on 3 hits, with 2 BBs/3 Ks…The Elijah Birdsong comes in like a vulture and does swoop-up work to get the Win, working 1 2/3s innings, giving up 0 runs/0 hits, with 0 BB/1 K…Sunday even saw regular Hopper starter Hunter Barco come in and work One Inning, in relief…All zeros for him, with 1 K…

WS Dash’ top hitters were Colby Smelley 2-3/2 RBI…Samuel Zavala 2-4/2 Runs…DJ Gladney 1-3/HR/BB/2 Runs/2 RBI…For the Dash, Riley Gowens was saddled with the loss, as he gave up 6 runs, on 4 hits, with 4 BBs/3 Ks, and he gave up the HR to Lonnie White Jr.

A lot of moving parts in Sunday’s game at Winston-Salem, with errors, balks, wild pitches, Batters hit by pitches and more…For the Hoppers, Sunday is now done, they have won, and now time to move on and get ready for next week….
