We will take out our clubs and 6:15, and take it to the fairway, and then the Green, with a local high school sports reporter ready to make the scene, Bryant Roche, with the News and Record…This man can take it to the links, and he has licked/defeated the N&R jinks, and although the way we at GreensboroSports talk often stinks, this Bryant Roche has run with the minks…
Bryant can drive it about 175 yards straight down the doglegs, and he will let us know a lot about how that Northern Guilford at Grimsley football game looked and sounded last Friday night at Jamieson Stadium…Bryant will also putt/put in his two cents worth about the upcoming high school football playoff brackets, and tell us which way he sees our teams going, and even more important than that, Which of our teams are going, and Which of our teams are not going to clubhouse/playoffs???
We may end up in the outhouse/port-a-potty, but we do bring in a good body of work, and which of our high school teams are still working with their sights set on the playoffs/FEDEX Cup…Grimsley, Dudley, Northern Guilford, Northwest Guilford, Southeast Guilford, Eastern Guilford, Northeast Guilford, and maybe a Wild Card team, all have plans to be out there with the 2024 playoffs dancing in the heads and all about their bodies…Who are we leaving out??? Bryant Roche will tell us who is going to play, today at Tee It Up Indoors…This will be the unofficial unveiling party for our Guilford County teams…And the High Point Christian Academy Cougars are already in the playoffs, and how is that going???
We will be revealing and dealing tonight at Tee It Up Indoors, at 2310 Battleground Avenue, right near the old Your House Restaurant, that was open there on Battleground Avenue for 55 years….
Around the 6:40 slot, we will shift gears and take our golf cart up the hill, where we will pick up four Southern Guilford Storm football players and bring them up on the green, where they show us how mean, their machine can be seen, heavy and lean, they are of keen cuisine…..This might be the Most Improved High School Football Program in Guilford County for 2024…Under the leadership of first-year head coach, Garrett Mills, the SG Storm football team went from maybe one win in 2023, to a (4-6) record in 2024…
This bunch of Southern Guilford Storm football players has come a long way with Coach Garrett Mills and assistant coach Mark Raynor and the rest of that staff, putting in the hours to get this team back in a position of power…The Storm are back, and they will be with us tonight….
