Twelve games on the Dudley Panthers football schedule so far this season, and the Dudley Panthers are (12-0)…Twelve games under their belts, and the Dudley Panthers’ Defense has given up a Whopping Total of 15 points so far this 2024 season…
Just 15 points allowed over the 12-game season, I would think that is almost unheard of….
Dudley allowing Page 7 points in the very first game of the season, the Smith Golden Eagles were able to forge 6 points versus their arch rival, and then the Eastern Guilford Wildcats came up with a safety in the last game of the regular season at Dudley, and that was worth 2 points…
Fifteen(15) points allowed by the Dudley Panthers Defense during the 2024 season….That comes out to 1.25 points a game this season, by the Panthers’ opposition…Just a tad over 1 point a game being given up by that stiff defense, and all of the points coming from just three of Dudley’s 12 opponents…Nine(9) shutouts by the Dudley Defense so far, in 2024…
Man, after I read up on that earlier today, I all have been doing is letting it soak in…Jordyn Ratliff, Dakota Brown, Andrew Rogers, Jalile Elliot, Robert McCollum, Adae Motley, Jeremiah/Dre Deese, Jerron Blackwell, Kordell Bartley, Nasir Newkirk, LJ Southern, Le’Ezra Brown, Jah-zear Watson, Seth Lawrence and others, those young men have been playing some real “Lights Out” defensive football this season….
That is a lot to let Soak In, but when as we begin to look it all over, let’s look back at the Dudley Panthers’ football schedule up to this point of the season…

++++++++++A very touching note from Friday night’s pregame interview with Asheville Reynolds’ head coach, Shane Laws…We were talking about all of the adversity that his team had to fight through this season, with Hurricane Helene nearly wiping Asheville and the surrounding areas off the map…Coach Laws reflected and shared that one of his assistant coaches had Eleven(11) family members perish/die in a Mud Slide that took out their entire community…Some tough circumstances to deal with this season, up there in the Western part of our state…Our prayers and thoughts continue to go out to those in the Asheville area…..Coach Laws, his team, and his staff have had to be resilent, and they have been…Thumbs up to those guys and gals up there….++++++++++
