Ragsdale High School is proud to announce the successful completion of the inaugural season for the school’s women’s flag football team. The team advanced to the championship rounds, defeating Mount Tabor in an exciting and close game with a final score of 16-15.
The team then went on to the semi-finals, where they faced off against Western Guilford in another close contest. Though they ultimately fell short, the Ragsdale women’s flag football team’s performance this season was a testament to their dedication, skill, and sportsmanship.
This inaugural season saw 18 high schools from Guilford County Schools and a few Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools compete in the first-ever flag football league. Ragsdale’s success is a reflection of the hard work and commitment of the coaching staff, including Coach Harbaugh, Coach Pfeiffer, and Coach Bratcher.
“We are incredibly proud of our women’s flag football team and the coaches who have worked tirelessly to build this program from the ground up,” said Ragsdale High School Athletic Director, Deborah Jones. “Their achievements this season are a testament to the talent and determination of our student-athletes, as well as the vision and dedication of our coaching staff.”
We would like to thank the Ragsdale staff, administrators, and the community who came out to the games this season to support our team. Thank you to George Taylor for taking pictures of our athletes during the competition. We appreciate all the support and enthusiasm throughout the season.
Ragsdale Athletics congratulates the women’s flag football team on their successful inaugural season and looks forward to their continued growth and success in the years to come. Ragsdale Athletics looks forward to building on the momentum from this past season and looks to bring flag football clinics to the area.
