The Bishop McGuinness Villains took on the Smith Golden Eagles in the semi-final of the HAECO Invitational on Friday night and fought valiantly despite taking the loss. The Golden Eagles were able to pull away in the 4th quarter after the Villains kept it close throughout. Bishop will take on Dudley in the 3rd place matchup on Saturday afternoon.
The Villains were led by senior Pat Graves who finished with 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. Thomas Thompson put forth another solid effort with 8 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Nic Graves finished with 8 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Point Guard Aiden Martin had 6 points and 3 assists. Forward Arop Chom had 2 points and 6 rebounds .
