Christopher Bell only led one lap in Sunday’s Ambetter Health 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, but he led the most important one.
Bell beat Carson Hocevar and Kyle Larson to win the second race of the 2025 season as the caution flag flew on the final lap for a wreck back in the pack.
Hocevar earned a career-best runner-up finish, with Larson, Ryan Blaney, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Denny Hamlin, Kyle Busch, Ross Chastain, Bubba Wallace and John Hunter Nemechek rounding out the top 10.
Other notable finishers include Joey Logano in 11th, Michael McDowell in 13th, Chase Elliott in 18th, Josh Berry in 25th and William Byron in 27th.
Bell, Hocevar and Larson were three-wide on the final lap when the yellow flag came out, and after review, NASCAR granted the victory to Bell.
Bell was the 15th and final leader in a wild race that saw a record 50 lead changes at the reconfigured Atlanta Motor Speedway.
With the win, Bell joins William Byron as the only other driver locked into the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs.
The third race of the 2025 season will be held at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, on March 2.
