Internal report shows UNCG’s first-year, full-time students have the highest performance score of all UNC System schools

GREENSBORO N.C. –UNC Greensboro students are among the quickest in North Carolina to rebound from the learning loss of a post-pandemic world, and they’re doing all that while spending less!

The University of North Carolina System’s internal report shows that UNCG’s first-year, full-time college students have the highest performance score of all system schools – an impressive 88.5 percent.

Andrew Hamilton, Associate Vice Provost and Dean of Undergraduate Studies, says, “We had to find a way to reverse pandemic effects on course-level performance that were driving our global numbers in the wrong direction.”

This incredible score is based on four-year graduation rates, credits earned, degree efficiency, cumulative student debt at graduation, University expenses per degree granted, and external funding.

“The UNC System report is a reflection of UNCG’s steadfast commitment to access and excellence,” said UNCG Chancellor Frank Gilliam. “We are proud of our efforts and appreciate the recognition that our strategic investments bring valuable returns for our students and our state.”
