Big rain delay on Saturday night, at First National Bank Field, where the Greenboro Grasshoppers fell to the Hub City Spartanburgers, 7-4….The Hoppers were down 7-1 to the Burgers, when the rains hit, and the rains hit at 8:57pm, and then the game got going again, at 11pm…
When the game was stopped/delayed, the Greensboro Grasshoppers were getting ready to come to the plate, there in the bottom of the 8th inning…Again, the Burgers had the 7-1 lead, and after around a two-hour break/delay in the action, we got going again…With all the rain that we have getting over the past two weeks, somebody was telling me, that we have had right at 8 hours of rain delay time for the recent Greensboro Grasshoppers games…A lot of the time has been hurry up and wait time…Not much at all you can do when you are dealing with the weather, you just to wait it out…
