Game Log:
Eastern Guilford scores first in this ballgame, when the EG Wildcats took the ball into the end zone, on a score that came from EG QB Javion Majette…The Iheakam Kick was good, and Eastern Guilford leads NG, 7-0…3:26 left in the 1st Quarter, and the score is at EG 7, NG 0…
Amare Akers scores on the ground for the NG Nighthawks, and the 36-yard by Akers, plus the PAT Kick by Kobe Guardado is Good, and with 2:30 to play in the First Quarter, our score is tied, NG 7, EG 7…
End of First Quarter:NG 7, EG 7
With 3:07 remaining in the Second Quarter, NG QB Jaxson Kemp scored on a 11-yard TD run, and the Kobe Guardado PAT Kick is Good…Making that new score, NG 14, EG 7…
Halftime:Northern Guilford 14, Eastern Guilford 7
With 10:24 to play in the Third Quarter, Northern sees Jackson Kemp connect with NG WR C.J. Morrison on a 10-yard TD pass play…Kobe Guardado’s PAT Kick is Good, and new score is:Northern Guilford 21, Eastern Guilford 7…
Eastern Guilford’s Javion Majette takes the ball into the end zone on another run, this time from 1 yard out, and the Markus Iheakam PAT Kick is Good…with 2:56 left in the Third Quarter, the scores is:Northern Guilford 21, Eastern Guilford 14…
The overall action/business is picking up with Jaxson Kemp connecting with CJ Morrison again, this time on a 39-yard TD pass, and after the Kobe Guardado PAT Kick is blocked, the score stands at:NG 27, EG 14
End of Third Quarter:Northern Guilford 27, Eastern Guilford 14
With 7:42 remaining in the ballgame(Fourth Quarter), Kemp hits his primary second half target, CJ Morrison for a 15-yard Touchdown Pass, and the Guardado PAT Kick added in, the score goes to Northern Guilford 34, Eastern Guilford 14
Final Score:Northern Guilford 34, Eastern Guilford 14
Players of the Game from this contest were:Jaxson Kemp and CJ Morrison on Offense from Northern Guilford…Kemp with 3 TD passes to Morrison, and Kemp also with a TD run…Kemp with in the neighborhood of 300 yards of Total Offense…Kemp with 2 huge first half passes to Greyson Council, and then Kemp went to work connecting with CJ Morrison in the Second Half…
On defense for Northern we had Jude Keyser and Chance Crews…Crews did not start on defense for the NG Nighthawks, and that one reason Eastern Guilford went on their long first possession of the game, and the EG Wildcats capped off that drive with a TD run by their QB Javion Majette…Once Crews settled in and he got hot on defense, the Nighthawks were truly a different Defensive Unit…He makes that much difference…NG DL Charlie Griffin got into the EG backfield and stirred up heat on Majette and others on more than one occasion in this game…Bobby Bah had a huge kickoff return in the game, and many others stepped and helped out too…
Majette for Eastern was weaving magic with his feet, scoring both of the EG Wilcat TDs…He did a very good job engineering and managing that opening drive of the game for Eastern, which led to the Wildcat score…Majette found freshman Noah Jordan open several times, and Jordan, the EG Wildcats young WR, was making a lasting name for himself on the Tommy Grayson Stadium field at EGHS…Jordan was getting open and Majette found him, plus Majette was also able to hook up with EG WR Keyvon Haynes…Haynes contiunes to be a fun wide receiver to watch…
Majette by far the REMAX Revolution Player of the Game on offense for the EG Wildcats, and Samari Smith was the main man again, for the EG ‘Cats on Defense…Samari Smith had all kinds of hits going from his LB spot, plus he put together two of the best back-to-back hits that we have seen this season…On that second hit/tackle, Smith looked like Rufus R. “FreightTrain” Jones heading down the tracks…Smith hits were massive, and you could those shocking shots all the way back to the PTI Airport, on a One-Way Flight from Gibsonville…
There you go, with the names being locked in by our broadcast cohort, Coach Randy Norris Sr……
Grimsley still going, Page surviving one more time, Ragsdale now with two consecutive wins, Northwest Guilford back in the Win Column again, after a LOOOOOOOONG GONE absence….Northeast Guilford with a Super-Large win at Asheboro, and Asheboro’s the past three weeks have gone, NG 41, ASHE 37, ASHE 37, EG 33, and NEG 38, ASHE 35…Some kind of close games there for ya…Southeast Guilford still with just one conference loss, the loss last week, at NEG…Andrews took care of business, and HPCA is now at (9-0)…
That is it for us tonight…Have a Great Weekend…
