Hunter Riffey, (SR) at Caldwell Academy has committed to Appalachian State University,
Boone, NC to run CROSS COUNTRY & TRACK.
He is currently the 3 time defending NCISAA 2A
Cross Counrty Champ(5K) winning in 2023,2024 &
2025. Currently holds the school record of
15:40.18 set 8/23/25 at the WNC XC Carnival
Hendersonville, NC.
His personal best in the 5K of 15:01.00 was set at the New Balance Nationals Outdoor , Philadelphia, Pa, June ,2025.
He also holds SCHOOL RECORDS in the
800M, 2:00.82, set 4/2/25 at HPCA meet # 2
1600M, 4:34.17, set 4/13/24 at Hornets Invitional,
3200M 9:04.02, set 4/26/25 at Carolina Distance.
