Women’s Golf Jumps to Third in Advance Golf Partners Collegiate

WEST PALM BEACH, FLA.– The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women’s golf team concluded day two of the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate on Monday, leap frogging into third place behind Appalachian State and Virginia Tech after round two at Hammock Creek Golf Club.

TEAM
UNCG improved from the previous round of fourth to wind up in third in the competition. The Spartans turned in an 11-over-par(299) performance on the day for a 31-over-par (607) total.
The Blue & Gold trail second place Appalachian State by four strokes and Virginia Tech currently has control of the lead with a 10-over-par (586).
UNCG recorded 17 birdies and 107 pars across the two days. UNCG ranks second in the entire competition in pars.

INDIVIDUAL
Sophie Lauture paces the Spartans in a tie for 10th place with a six-over-par (150) after rounds of 76-74.
Kasey McIlvaine is tied for 17th place after turning in rounds of 77-74 (151) for a seven-over-par.
Julia Baeumken, Chanelle Mwangi and Lulu Leetham are all tied for 21st place with an eight-over-par (152).
Leetham shot the best round of the day, recording a one-over-par (73) and jumping 19 spots.
Elle Burnette rounded out the scorecard with a 19-over par (163) for a share of 78th place in the tournament.

UP NEXT
The third and final round of the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Hammock Creek Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.
