Thomasville High School Names Garrett Mills Head Football Coach
Thomasville, NC — Thomasville High School has named
Garrett Mills as the next head varsity football coach of the Bulldogs.
Coach Mills returns to Thomasville after serving two seasons as head coach at
Southern Guilford High School, where he led a successful rebuild of the program.
During his tenure, player participation increased by 50 percent, the junior varsity
program was reinstated, and the Storm returned to the NCHSAA playoffs in 2025.
Mills previously served as head coach at Walkertown High School and as an
assistant at Page High School. He also coached at Thomasville earlier in his
career under former head coach Doug Robertson.
“Garrett is a great human being with a tireless work ethic,” Robertson said. “He
loves the game, invests in young men, and does things the right way. He is an
outstanding coach who prepares his players for success on and off the field.”
Thomasville High School is excited to welcome Coach Mills back to the Bulldog
family and looks forward to the leadership and vision he will bring to the
program.
