High Point/Thomasville – Week two of the HPT HiToms/Crescent Ford Varsity classic at Historic Finch Field launches this Saturday, March 14th with a huge tripleheader.
Featuring six of the Piedmont’s top high school baseball programs, the action starts at 10 am when High Point and Thomasville square off as Ledford takes on Southwest Guilford. The Piedmont border battles continue at 12:45 when West Rowan crosses the Yadkin River to tangle with the Dragons of West Davidson. One more Guilford/Davidson county matchup ensues at 3:45 when new, state power Oak Grove challenges perennial Triad baseball contender Ragsdale.
“The stars of tomorrow are always on stage at Thomasville’s Historic Finch Field,” HPT HiToms President Greg Suire said. “In just four weekends of events, the HiToms have showcased over 1,000 central, North Carolina student-athletes and we are honored to continue this commitment to our emerging community leaders.”
