Baseball’s Comeback Attempt Falls Short Against ETSU, 15-8

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) baseball team dropped game three to The Southern Conference (SoCon) opponent ETSU, 15–8, at UNCG Baseball Stadium on Sunday afternoon. JJ Parsons led the way with three RBIs and two runs scored.

ETSU began the game with a first pitch home run to jump out to an early 1-0 lead in the first inning. The Bucs quickly extended their lead to 3-0 after a two-run shot over the left field wall. With their backs against the wall, UNCG surged into life in the bottom of the seventh. The rally started off with Brantley Truitt driving home Jake Mueller with an RBI single. Parsons came up to the dish with two runners on and delivered an electrifying three-run home run to cut the lead further.
