Final from Tuesday Night at First National Bank Field:
(This is our Fred Anderson Toyota of Raleigh Report.)

Greensboro Grasshoppers 11, Greenville Drive 9
WP:Connor Oliver(3-0)/LP:Alex Bouchard(0-1)/SV:Alexis Torres(1)
Hoppers' Line-11- 9-3 Drive' Line- 9-15-3
Hoppers imrove to (17-11), while Greenville Drive fall to (13-15)…..
In the ballgame the two teams combined for 20 Runs, 24 Hits, and 6 Errors…Wyatt Sanford and Easton Carmichael paced the Hoppers’ offense with two hits each…Sanford was 2-4/3 Runs Scored, while Carmichael goes 2-4/1 Run/SB, and 3 RBI…Greensboro’s Tony Blaco Jr. homered, his third LOOOOOOOONG Gone of the season….Also a solid night from Ivan Brewthower with his 1-3 eveing, including a Double/BB/2 Runs/RBI…Matt King for the Hoppers was 0-4, but he reached on a fielder’s choice, and also reached on an error, and King scored two important Greensboro Grasshoppers runs, plus he stole Two Bases…Edward Florentino 1-5/RBI, Axiel Plaz 1-4/RBI, and Shalin Polanco 1-4/Run, all three also contributed to the Hoppers’ victory….
Our REMAX Revolution Player of the Game was Hoppers relief pitcher, Connor Oliver…Oliver worked 3 1/3 Innings, giving up 4 Runs, on 5 hits, with 4 BBs/4 Ks…Oliver moved to (3-0) on the season, and not bad for a pitcher coming out of the bullpen…
Sort of a strange game with all those runs, hits, errors and the score kept moving back-and-forth…After two innings, the game was tied at 1-1…End of three innings the score was 3-3, then the Hoppers went up 8-5 after four frames…Greenboro led Greenville, 11-6, after six innings, then Greenville found three runs in the Top of the Eighth Inning to cut the lead to 11-9, and that is how it ended, with the Hoppers in the Win Column Again…
Greenville had a total of 15 hits, and Isaiah Jackson stood out for the Drive, going 4-5 on Four Singles, with 1 Run, and 3 RBI…Freili Encarnacion was 3-5/Double/2 RBI…Yoeilin Cespedes went 3-6/2 Runs, and that’s already 10 hits from those three Drive batters right there…Henry Godbout goes 2-4/HR/2 BBs/3 Runs/2 RBI…With all that Greenville was doing, and especially the doings of Jackson, Encarcion, Cespedes, and Godbout, the Greensboro Grasshoppers are fortunate to pick up the “W” on Tuesday night….
So much offensive firepower between the two clubs, and hoping deep down, that the Wednesday day game will be tighter, and maybe less offense and hopefully Wednesday will be error-free…
The Greenville starter, and losing pitcher, Alex Bouchard, gave up his first home run of the season, when Tony Blanco Jr. went yard on him, and Bouchard had very impressive pitching numbers coming in, but on this night, he allowed 8 Runs, on 5 hits, with 2 BBs/7 Ks, and 7 of the 8 runs off of Bouchard, were Earned Runs…
In the end, it was just real good to see the Hoppers get the win, and good to be saying Hoppers Win, Hoppers Win, Hoppers Win, Hoppers Win Again, for another night….
