The Greensboro Grasshoppers’ catcher Axiel Plas was for sure playing with a “Mike Piazza-like Pizzazz” in the Hoppers’ 6-0 victory on Thursday night at Jersey Shore/Lakewood, New Jersey…Mike Piazza, who most of us remember from back in his days as a catcher for the LA Dodgers, and the New York Mets, and Piazza had perfect night, one of his best back on June 14, 1997 – Mike Piazza had a perfect 4-for-4 game vs. the Seattle Mariners…
And you might be saying, “What does Mike Piazza have to do with the Greensboro Grasshoppers’ catcher Axiel Plaz”???
Well, the names sound a bit alike, and on Thursday night May 14, 2026, the Hoppers’ Plaz had himself a Perfect Night, and he was carrying a BIG BAT, in that Greensboro win at Jersey Shore…
Axiel Plaz at Jersey Shore, was no snore, and he was hitting full bore, and you might say, “What does that mean”???
To “go full bore” means to do something with maximum power, speed, or effort. It describes an all-out, uncompromising approach where you give 100% intensity and hold nothing back.
Mr. Plaz was having himself a blast on Thursday evening, as he went the Perfect, 4-4 at the plate…Plaz at the Plate, with 2 Home Runs, 2 Doubles, 3 Runs Scored, and 3 RBI…Four Extra-Base Hits, gets you some Pub, brothers and sisters, and we have decided to Plaster our Post with Mr. Plaz……
