It was double-dip baseball, on Friday night at the First National Bank FieLd, in beautiful downtown Greensboro…It was a South Atlantic League doubleheader featuring the WS Dash, and the Greensboro Grasshoppers….
(This our Fred Anderson Toyota of Raleigh Game Report, on the Hoppers vs. the Dash.)

Final Score from Game Two, and this is the one where the Hoppers were winners….
Greensboro Grasshoppers 8, WS Dash
WP:Cameron Keshock(2-2)/LP:Liam Paddock(2-1)
Hoppers' Line-8-6-2 WS Dash' Line-4-6-0
Hoppers improved to (26-17) and the Dash fell to (26-17) after the second game of the Friday Doubleheader…Hoppers REMAX Revolution Players of the Game were Cameron Keshock, who went 5 Innings, on the hill for the Hoppers, plus he gave up 0 Runs, on 2 Hits, with 0 BBs, and 5 Ks…The Dash got 0 Runs off of Keshock, after they had scored 38 runs, in their three previous wins over the Hoppers…Keshock shut the Dash down, and he did for real, shut them out…Keshock had a Perfect Game going on, for the first 3 1/3 Innings of the contest, and did not allow his first hit in the game, until the fifth inning…Solid performance by Keshock, and it was an effort the Greensboro Grasshoppers needed in a bad way…
Also on the REMAX Player of the Game list for Game Two on Friday night, were Murf Gray, and Jhonny Severino…Gray went 2-3, with two very well-hit Home Runs, plus he scored 3 Runs, and he had 2 RBI…Severino pretty much put this game away, with his towering Grand Slam Home Run to deep left-centerfield, and Severino was 1-4 for the game, with
his Grand Slam……
Putting some of my money on Keshock for his next game, and if he is anything like he was on Friday May 22, then Keshock is going to be climbing the ladder, up to the next level…Also a solid batting line on this game from Jared Jones, with went 1-3/BB/Run/2 RBI…Jones becoming a steady and solid Hoppers hitter, and Jared Jones now at .333 with his batting average for the season, as a whole…
The Grasshoppers led in this game, 8-0, all the way up until the Top of the Seventh Inning, and that’s where the WS Dash jumped on Hoppers’ reliever Inmer Lobo for 4 Runs, on 3 Hits, with 1 BB/3 Ks, plus Lobo gave up a Three-Run Home Run, to the Dash’ Kyle Lodise, and that Lodise LOOOOOONG GONE HR came in the Top of the Seventh(7th) for the Dash…
It was a tough night for the Dash LHP Liam Paddock, who was the Winston-Salem starter, and Paddock gave up 6 Runs, on 2 Hits, with 3 BBs/6 Ks…Plus Paddock gave up the home run to the Hoppers’ Murf Gray….The Hoppers now trail the Dash, 3-1, for the Six-Game Weekly Series, and Friday night’s Fourth Game of the Six-Game Set, was a crucial game for the Hoppers to go ahead and win, so Greensboro would be in the Series, with a chance to get the Overall Split, with Hoppers’ wins in Games Five and Six…Hoppers need those games in a bad way, and they are going to have to go get them…

On Game One of the Doubleheader from Friday night, with the Greensboro Grasshoppers vs. the Winston-Salem Dash…
Final Score:WS Dash 6, Greensboro Grasshoppers 3
WP:Aric McAtee(2-2)/LP:Seth Hernandez(1-1)/SV:Garrett Wright(1)
WS Dash' Line-6-6-1 Hoppers' Line-3-3-2
The Hoppers only had three hits for the game, and two of those hits, came in the First Inning, and the final Hopper hit showed up in the Bottom of the Seventh…Doubles in this contest from Easton Carmichael, and from Tony Blanco Jr., plus Carmichael scored a run, and he drove in a run…Murf Gray got the other Hopper hit from Greensboro, and he also picked up an RBI…Wyatt Sanford and Axiel Plaz also scored runs for the Hoppers, and both of those Hoppers reached base, with a Walk/BB…..
The Dash got themselves Solo HRs from George Wolkow and Arxy Hernandez in the Second Inning, and then Boston Smith connected for WS Dash Solo Home Run, in the Third Inning…WS also got a key Two-Run Double from Grant Magill, in the Seventh Inning…The Dash drew 3 BBs in the Top of the Seventh Frame, to help secure the win in the game…
Hoppers’ starter in Game One, Seth Hernandez, worked 2 2/3s Innings, allowing 3 Dash Runs, on 3 Dash hits, with 4 BBs/5 Ks…And the key component of Hernandez game, ended up being the Three Hits he gave up, all three of those hits produced Solo Homers for the Dash….
The Dash got the runs they needed, and the Hoppers scored early and late, but had nothing to show for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th Innings…The Hoppers sent 15 batters to the plate over the 2nd thru 6th Innings, and all they had to show for their efforts, was One Walk…15 men to the plate, and only one Hopper reached base, and he/Edward Florentino drew the Base-on-Balls, but he proceeded to Caught Stealing, while trying to swipe second base…
REMAX Revolution Player of the Game for Game One on Friday Night….Easton Carmichael who was 1-3/Double/Run/RBI, and he turned a yeoman’s duty behind the plate, as the Hoppers catcher for Game One…Carmichael sees, and knows what’s going on, back there behind the dish/plate…..
We were looking for Greensboro’s Seth Hernandez to be the top pitcher on the field, on Friday, but as it turned out, Cameron Keshock held that position for Friday night’s games…Keshock sent a jolt the Dash way, and he also impressed him mates from the Hoppers, who showed they could still win under tough conditions, and they/The Hoppers got it rolling on, in Game Two on Friday night, at First National Bank Field….
