91 UNCG Student-Athletes Named to the SoCon Academic All-Conference Team for 2025-26

SoCon Announces Academic All-Conference Teams

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – After a successful performance in the classroom, 91 UNC Greensboro (UNCG) student-athletes have earned a spot on the Academic All-Southern Conference (SoCon) Team for the 2025-26 year, the conference announced on Wednesday.

A total of 33 Spartans were tabbed to the Academic All-SoCon Team in the fall of 2025, while 58 were selected in the spring of 2026.

To be eligible for the Academic All-Conference Team, student-athletes must hold a 3.30 cumulative grade point average or higher after the fall or spring semester, while also competing in at least 50 percent of their teams’ competitions during the most recent season.

The fall Academic All-SoCon Team had 394 members, with the spring team, combining winter and spring sports had 629 student-athletes honored. There were 72 student-athletes with a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA on the fall and spring teams combined.

Western Carolina led the way with 121 combined student-athletes, including a league-high 83 for the spring semester. Wofford (118) was close behind in second, followed by Samford (116), ETSU (111), and Chattanooga (110).
