Greensboro Grasshoppers move to (46-27/5-2), while the Rome Emperors are now at (35-36/2-5)…..Third Straight Win this week, by the Grasshoppers, at Rome, Georgia…

It was a Four-Run Sixth Inning, that got things cranking for the Greensboro Grasshoppers, and it was the solid Five Innings from Hoppers’s starting pitcher, Seth Hernandez, that helped carry the Hoppers to the “W”…Hernandez went Five Innings in his start, where he gave up 1 Run, on 3 Hits, with 3 BBs/7 Ks…Hernandez ERA remains at a sparkling 2.88 for the season(Hoppers), and he did not give up an Earned Run on Friday night…The only run he allowed came on a Bases Loaded Walk, by Seth Hernandez…

In that 4-Run Sixth Inning for the Grasshoppers, they got back-to-back Home Runs from Sammy Stafura and Murf Gray, and for Gray, it was Murf’s 12th homer for the Hoppers, in 2026…Stafura and Gray’s HRs went like this, in that Top of the Sixth Inning, and at that point of the game, things were all tied up, at 1-1…Here are those LOOOOOOONG GONE Home Runs:

Hoppers’ pitching staff, was solid from the Start(Hernandez) to the Finish(Quintana)…Hoppers’ pitchers walked four Emp batters, but they struck out 11 Rome Emperors…Quintana got the Save for Greensboro, and he goes 1 Inning, with 0 Runs/1 Hit, with 0 BBs/1 K…Good close from Yulian Quintana, and good work in-between Hernandez and Quintana, coming from Jacob Bimbi and Kyle Larsen…

For the Rome Emperors, their top hitter on the night, was Isaiah Drake, who went 3-4/HR/Double/2 Runs/RBI…

Interesting numbers note, on the Hoppers’ Murf Gray…Gray now with 12 HRs and 27 RBI for the Greensboro Grasshoppers…And we must remember, Gray played 38 games for the Bradneton Marauders, before he arrived in Greensboro, and while at Bradenton, Gray had 8 HRs and 34 RBI…For the season now, Gray with 20 Home Runs, and 61 RBI, and we are just barely into the Second Half of the season…
