The Greensboro Grasshoppers trailed the Rome Emperors, 5-0, after Four Innings…The Hoppers got hot, and cut the lead to 5-3 Emps, after Five Innings…Hoppers took a 7-5 lead of their own, with 4 Greensboro Runs in the Top of the Seventh Inning…Rome tied it all up at 7-7, after 7…Then Greensboro jumps back on top, 8-7, after 7 1/2 Innings, then it was locked up again, at 8-8 Hoppers-Emperors at the end of Eight Innings…Hoppers post Three Runs in the Top of the Ninth Inning, and you look on the scoreboard, and see the road team at Rome, is back in front, with the score sitting at 11-8 Hoppers, as the teams took things to the Bottom of the Ninth Inning…Rome put up a Deuce, but the two Rome Runs were not enough, as the Greensboro Grasshoppers hang to win the ballgame, 11-10…..
