Final from downtown Greensboro, on Tuesday evening, at First National Bank Field:
Greenville Drive 6, Greensboro Grasshoppers 2
(This is our Fred Anderson Toyota of Raleigh Game Report.)

Drive' Line- 6-9-0 Hoppers' Line-2-3-1
Hoppers’ record falls to (52-20/6-10), while Greenville improves to (6-10) in the Second Half of the 2026 season…The Drive take a 1-0 lead in this week’s Six-Game Series, from FNB Field.
Starting pitcher from Greenville, LHP Jojo Ingrassia was mowing down the Grasshoppers early in the contest, as the Hoppers went 0-17 before the home guys even reached First Base…With two outs in the Bottom of the Sixth Inning, Dylan Palmer became the First Hopper to reach base on Tuesday night, when Palmer looped a base hit into left field…Palmer was at First Base, when Sammy Stafura blasted Ingrassia’s pitch to the yellow line, at the top of the Center Field Fence…..A Two-Run Home Run from Stafura, scoring Sammy and Palmer, and it was Palmer as the first man to reach base vs. Ingrassia, and that killed Ingrassia’s and Greenville’ perfect game/no-hitter, plus Stafura’s HR broke up the Shutout, and scored not just one, but Two Hoppers Runs..
(Our REMAX Revolution Players of the Game were Palmer and Stafura.)
It took a long time before the Hoppers could get on the scoreboard, and it was Going, Three-Up/Three-Down Hoppers for the first Five and Two-Thirds Innings of this contest/ballgame…Later in the game, the Ninth Inning to be exact, the Grasshoppers found one more hit in the Greenville Drive’ Armor, with Easton Carmichael coming up with a Single in the Bottom of the Ninth Inning…
To break down the Hoppers’ hits for Tuesday one more time, we had Sammy Stafura going 1-3/HR/BB/Run/RBI…Dylan Palmer went 1-3/Run…Easton Carmichael goes 1-4….And that was it…As a team, the Hopppers Walked once(Sammy Stafura), and struck out 13 times…Hoopers, with Two Runs, on just Three Hits…
Greenville’s starting pitcher, Jojo Ingrassia, worked 5 2/3s Innings, giving up 2 Runs, on 2 Hits, withi 0 BBs/10 Ks…Quite the outing by Ingrassia…Greenville’s finisher, Griffin Kilander, went 3 1/3 Innings, and gave up 0 Runs, on 1 Hit, with 1 BB/3 Ks…
The Greensboro Grasshoppers’ starting pitcher, Jack Anker went 5 Innings, and Anker gave up 5 Runs, on 6 Hits, with 1 BB/8 Ks…Hoppers as a staff, with Owen Kellington and Kyle Larsen backing up Anker, the Tuesday staff Walked 3 Greenville Drive batters, and struck out 14…
See Below, Greensboro Grasshoppers’ starting pitcher, Jack Anker…..

Top Greenville Drive batters were Ronny Hernandez, who was 3-3/HR/Double/Single/BB/3 Runs/RBI…Plus Greenville had Justin Gonzalez going 2-4/BB/Run…Four other Drive batters had one hit/single each…Yoeilin Cespedes went 1-5/HR/3 RBI…
Not enough Hopper hits early in this game, and that led to a lack of scoring, so the Hoppers must get back to work early on Wednesday…Going need hits and runs from the beginning, so the Hoppers can establish their control of the ballgame…RHP Seth Hernandez due up the mound for the Hoppers on Wednesday afternoon, at 12 Noon…
